The Lafarge Brookfield Cement Plant has been part of our community since 1965. In fact, our entire workforce lives in the area. So, we try hard to be good neighbours.

That means being open.

We've made an application to Nova Scotia Environment for a test pilot approval to recycle treated wastewater for use in a rotary cement kiln. The application process is rigorous and thorough. It will be carefully reviewed by the agencies entrusted with protecting our environment.

The first phase of testing is complete. The results exceed all government guidelines for release in the environment. It's even safe enough to drink.
